Invitation to Open Evening to Celebrate National Organic Week - Wednesday 15th September

Event: Farm Open Evening with Farmers Market & Demonstrations

Venue: Nano Nagle Centre, Centre for Spirituality, Heritage & Ecology, Ballygriffin, Mallow, Co Cork

Date &Time: Wednesday 15th September 2010, 4.30pm – 8pm

·         Renowned chef DARINA ALLEN to give talk on how to Make the Most out of Cheap Cuts of Organic Meat (6.30pm).

·         A team from IRISH SEEDSAVERS in Scariff will be here with over a hundred varieties of organic Irish Apples to taste and will give a tree planting demonstration.

·         Tours of Kitchen Garden, Tunnels, Field Scale Vegetables, Allotments, Orchard & Hens (Certified Organic Farm).

·         Presentation on the Sustainable Energy features of centre.

·         Farmers Market with an array of local organic, artesanal produce & potted plants, herbs, cut flowers etc.

·         Oodles of organic tea, coffee & tasty organic treats.
