A quick reminder of the treats in store tonight at the Cork Environmental Forum annual awards held in the Firkin Crane, Shandon, Cork City. This is open to all, so why not come down and enjoy an evening of positive stories and acknowledge some of the fine work being done across society to ensure a sustainable future for our children and grandchildren?
It is with great pleasure that the winners of the 2010 CEF Annual Awards are announced. Presentations will be made at our annual end-of-year gathering at the Firkin Crane, Thurs 16th starting at 7.15pm. All welcome for an evening of positivity and heartening stories. Winning this prestigious award is recognition for hard work, work well done and work that is of tremendous benefit to the community and the environment. This year, as always, there are prizes in each of the four pillars of society: Business, Community & Voluntary, Public Sector and Outstanding Individual.

Childrens Christmas Workshop Sat 27th November!

Continuing the success of this year's series of childrens workshops (see here, here, here and here!), Cork Environmental Forum are delighted to announce a Christmas workshop for children on Saturday 27th November 1-4pm at the Lifetime Lab, Lee Road, Cork. Even if you can't come - you might still be able to help us (see below).
Using only recycled materials you will create your own beautiful Christmas decorations this year.

Following on from the success of this weekend's Rebel Tour, we thought you might be interested in the following upcoming cycling events. “Do concerns about road safety, put you off cycling?
If so, sign up for a free “Cycle Safety” Training Session and master your road skills, brush-up on signalling and cornering techniques and improve your overall bike-handling.
Anyone who cycles, or plans to cycle in the future, can benefit from this offer. Group classes normally cost €150! However you can avail of the class for free, as it will be part-funded by an EU project called Added Value. Places are limited so book early!
