Here comes the Rebel Tour! Cycling fun all weekend.

The Rebel Pedal (as part of this year's Rebel Tour) is back! Get on your bikes this Saturday and Sunday for the ultimate cycling fun weekend...
Friday 10th September 2010

Dear CEF Member Archive,

The Rebel Tour hits the tarmac of Cork City and County this weekend featuring four fantastic bike events for all levels of cycling enthusiasm.

Whether you're new to this fun, healthy and environmentally sound mode of transport or an old pro, there will be a great day out for you this coming Saturday or Sunday - or even both!

We've teamed up with the Cork Sports Partnership and Ballyhoura Trails to put together the REBEL TOUR on 11th/12th September this year - including our very own, and much-loved, Rebel Pedal! 2010.  There's going to be so much on offer this year for everyone - families, hobby cyclists, serious riders, mountain-bikers... so get out to the garage this instant and start blowing the cobwebs off your dear old bicycles.

The Rebel Pedal will start at 12pm sharp from the Grand Parade and registration opens at 11am.  No more than three U16s per adult please.  The party in the Cork City Showgrounds kicks off at 1pm for participants, friends and families. Lots of great food, entertainment, music and fun all afternoon.

And just in case you think that's the back of us for a while, we're holding our AGM on the evening of Thursday 16th September at the lovely Blackrock Observatory.  All are welcome to come down and learn a bit more about what we do, why we do it and how.  If you want to get involved, it's the perfect opportunity.  We'll also be showing the RTE/Earth Horizon short documentary 'A Burning Question' about climate change perceptions in Ireland (starting 7pm and will be all finished by 9pm).

Don't forget to check out the link on the right to our noticeboard - so much valuable local environmental information goes up there, updated daily.
